Day 60 - 25th July 2010

It's our second day of sun (the first was last Saturday) and how am I forced to spend it? Mowing the lawn, delivering empty bottles for recycling and picking up grass after dad did some more mowing with a machine that doesn't pick up the grass... fun times!

We were driving home from my grandparents' place and stopped at this beautiful place so dad could smoke and the dog do her business.

I went hiking with my mum, sister and grandma once the sun came out. It was nice, but too short for my taste. The view was great though! I used the self timer on the camera to take this. Mum doesn't qualify as a photographer :p

Mum, my sister, grandma, a friend of grandma's, the dogs and I went for a walk as soon as it stopped raining. We barely made it back before it started. Week upon week of rain is fun... or not.

I took this on the way back from the wedding. We passed quite a lot of reindeer. They're all shedding, which is why it looks so ugly :p

This is my cousin E's son, Mateo. The first time I saw him was at the wedding, but this was my first proper look at him and what a gorgeous little boy! He looks so much like both his parents, and a lot like his sister.

The highlight of my summer so far - my cousin's wedding. This picture was taken after the ceremony. Elise and Kaia (their daughters) were flower girls and Elise (left) carried the rings. The bride looked absolutely gorgeous and the groom was so handsome. Love them all so much!

After work, I went back to my place to pack and then took the bus to where I was meeting my parents. Then we all drove for 8 hours, with the final destination being the town my cousin lives in. This photo was taken on the way there, around 11.30pm.

I read a post on a forum about eye colours, and wanted to take a closer look at my own...But taking a picture of my own eye was easier said than done. This is the best result I came up with, and my eye colours are a whole lot more visible in real life.

I got my hair cut, and I wasn't too happy with it when I left the salon, but after styling it myself, it doesn't look too bad in my opinion. Ignore my beautiful pj's.

I spent the weekend at my grandparents' house with two of my cousins whom I haven't seen in over two years. I had to settle with a pic of grandma's dog though... Elisa was outside constantly, and Mikael was in his room with his laptop all day. Fun times.

I finally got around to making a card for my cousin's wedding, and I'm really proud of this. I'm so happy with how it turned out, except for one small detail... I forgot to leave room to sign who it's from. How am I gonna put four names on there without ruining the looks? :p

I was so excited to try this. I'd seen the commercials on TV and it looked so tasty! Turned out to be the most disgusting iced coffee I've ever tasted. It was basically like drinking mud water... Yuck!

These are my tickets for the concert I was on, on Friday and Saturday. Great shows. Too bad no one ever checked the tickets. I could've gotten in for free.

I went to a Smokie concert and it was amazing! 18'C and sun while listening to great music... Can't be better, can it? Well... You could only hear the lyrics on a few songs, but I still enjoyed it a lot!

I went to see "Take the chance" with my sister and a cousin whom I haven't seen in two years. It was a lot of fun watching people struggle through an obstacle course in 5'C water!

The girl I work with was home from pre-school and we spent a lot of time painting. Mine turned out like that. I haven't painted in ages. The swirly one is how I used to paint when I was her age (3) and the other one is... well... awful! :p I'm not very good at painting, that's for sure!

I have to keep a list of all the hours I work in order to get paid, and this is what the list looks like. One week takes up one A4 page! So I'll be handing in 4 lists for caring for the kid and one list for house chores!
